Dance has been a major part of Allie’s life since the age of 2 when she started training. She trained in a competitive setting from 2012-2019 but as she began training at the Tap Dance Centre in 2018, she quickly recognized her great passion for tap dance. The passion and commitment of the tap dance community inspired her. Allie has been extremely lucky to have talented and passionate tap educators as role models, who have opened her eyes to rhythms, musicality, and the history of tap dance.

Allie immerses herself in the very rich tap dance community training with MacKenzie Greenwell, Danny Nielsen, Derick Grant and Johnny Morin. Allie challenges herself to pursue tap educational opportunities when they are available.

In 2024 Allie participated in the Heather Cornell Legacy Project studying the mentor relationships of Heather Cornell/Eddie Brown and Dianne Walker/Leon Collins. Allie attended RIFF Dallas where she participated in Derick Grant Live Band Experience Residency and attended the North Carolina Rhythm Tap Festival where she participated in Dianne Walker Residency. Since 2023 Allie has been an Associate of the Tap Love Tour podcast taking on different roles such as guest interviewer, social media curator, and researcher. In 2023 Allie was part of the Rhythm and Sound Residency program that performed “In Passing” at the Toronto Fringe Festival. She also performed at Fever After Dark with Victoria Miller.

2022-2024 Allie attended Woodshed Experience with mentors Derick Grant and Elizabeth Burke. In 2021 she participated in the Sweet and Able Mentorship program lead by Ali Bradley. In 2019 Allie was part of Team Canada for the IDO World Tap Championships in Germany.

Allie is currently in the Regional Arts Unionville Dance program at Unionville High School. As Allie looks to the future, she hopes one day to become a mentor to the next generation. She wants to expose young tap dancers to the history and musicality of tap dance. Sharing with them how the masters have molded the art form of tap dance and hopefully lighting a fire and passion in the process.
