Gen Fullerton was born and raised in Georgetown, Ontario, where she began dancing at the age of 4 and piano lessons at age 5. Currently, Gen can most often be found performing and instructing online, as well as teaching tap dance throughout the G.T.A. – and she hopes to be able to return to live theatre and multi-disciplinary productions soon! Gen's performance credits include the role of Zelda in The Laundry List (Vintage Taps), Isabelle in Portrait of a Scandal (High Society Cabaret), dancing in SymphRONica Meets Tap Dance: Moving Soundscapes (Ron Davis, Dianne Montgomery), Dance Ontario’s Dance Weekend, the Toronto International Tap Dance Festival (Toffan Rhythm Projects), and several performances with What’s On? Tap! (Kim Chalovich). She possesses over 17 years of leadership training and experience: she is a founding instructor as well as examiner of the Tap Dance Centre Syllabus, she holds an Intermediate vocational ballet certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance, an Associate membership (Tap, Jazz, Acrobatics) with the British Association of Teachers of Dancing , she is a graduate of the Randolph College for the Performing Arts’ Triple Threat program, and in 2019 she had the exciting opportunity to choreograph for Team Canada (IDO World Tap Championships 2019). She is also a guest choreographer and dance competition adjudicator at various locations in Ontario. Gen has set out on a mission to reach as many people as possible; her goal is to inspire joy and creativity, and encourage critical thinking by emotionally connecting with those around her. She hopes to accomplish this by sharing her passion for storytelling both on stage and in class.
